Silver Supply Tightening - Mexico to Close Silver Mines

The Mexican government has declared a National Health Emergency and will close all "non-essential" businesses until at least April 30.  "Non-essential" closure could easily mean their silver mines will be forced to shut down as well.

By a wide margin, Mexico is the world's largest silver producer, but other mines and even silver refiners around the world are shutting down operations in response to the coronavirus.

This could result in a serious squeeze on silver supply, which is already aggravated by the ongoing difficulties in transporting large silver shipments across borders and distributing down the chain to private mints.  The soaring demand for physical silver bullion may amplify the pressure.

There is differing opinion amongst precious metals experts as to what this will mean for silver prices.  We wanted you to be aware of what is going on, so you can decide if it is the right time for you to act based on your individual needs and financial circumstances.

Call us at 877-936-7686 if you would like to make an exchange.  We want to discuss with you the rapidly changing market conditions and how that is impacting daily price movements.  A Bank Wire continues to be the "cleanest" and fastest way to send funds - however, it is becoming increasingly difficult to physically go to the bank.  Plan ahead and call your bank to make an appointment.  Call us or email info@centurysilver.com to let us know your funds are on the way.

God bless,

Century Silver Exchange
